Registration

Inspired by the the concurrent exhibition in the Main Gallery,  ‘famil-E’, with featured artists/guest jurors Sheila, Joyce and Joshua Elias. This exhibit will be the first time Sheila, (parent) will be exhibiting with her adult children (Joshua and Joyce) highlighting the question of whether artistic ability is genetically inherited or are the interests and passions developed through behavioral modeling and exposure within the familial environment.

In the context of this exhibit a wide interpretation of the theme will expand from the context of human beings, to the exploration of environmental factors on our planet and how we may or may not influence the “nature” of things. In other words, does behavior affect the ‘natural’ order and if so how? Do we have a choice?  Is art born from inspiration, education, dedication, influence, intuition . . . or are we just born with the need to create?
