Sandie Bacon- Sudden Storm Navigation

16in x 20in

At the start of the pandemic, I felt reflective and my artwork was more pastoral: reflections on the water of the lake where I walk. As time changed, with the advent of the need for social justice I turned to painting sailing ships in storms over maritime charts. We are looking for navigation, sensing the unseen currents underneath, and that our environment is made up of weather, and life cycles and collective experience.
