Description
“The Sanctuary” was created and designed from a direct inspiration of the Florida land based gopher tortoises. The gopher tortoise and it’s lifestyle represent nature’s way of living side by side with diverse populations. Their long underground tunnels are shared with over 300 species including their enemies. Inside the tunnels, all the creatures are in a safety zone together. In this collagraph print, I chose to honor the tortoise to express the need to live peacefully with our neighbors both locally and globally.
