During California’s Shelter in Place Order for Covid 19, I was inspired by the hieroglyphics and illustrations contained within the incredible Book of the Dead, and began experimentations to fuse my own anxieties for the future with the hypnotic and bewildering protocols surrounding Egyptian deathliness.  Both of my submitted works utilize photographic and printmaking methods to construct a neo-Egyptian aesthetic, that seeks to make sense of the chaos that has been 2020.
