Darlys Ewoldt was introduced to using metals at Drake University, where she received her BFA. She received her MFA from Indiana University. During the ensuing years, Darlys has lived and worked in Chicago, Illinois. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards. In 2006, Darlys presented a workshop at an international metals conference in Sydney, Australia, and was an artist-in-residence at the Canberra School of Art. She has also conducted workshops on metal and patination processes throughout the U.S. In addition to working in her studio, Darlys currently teaches at Columbia College Chicago, the Lill Street Art Center and The Art Center – Highland Park.
