Join in for the Chalk Drawing on the sidewalks in and around The Art Center, 1957 Sheridan Road, Highland Park. Featured street painter, muralist and fine artist, Nate Baranowski, will be on hand to create a unique design for the day and also to support and encourage our sidewalk chalk artists. Purchase A Chalk Art Kit to decorate your own driveway, sidewalk, balcony OR come to The Art Center to draw on one of our sidewalk squares and meet our featured artist.

Featuring Street Painter, Muralist and Fine Artist Nate Baranowski

A street painter, chalk artist, and muralist, Nate Baranowski holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Cham­paign, where his passion for street painting began. Over the last 10 years, Nate has turned a weekend hobby into a full time career, creating large mural installations and street paintings for clients and festivals around the world.

Under the tent at TAC, we’ll host a live outdoor event with food, cocktails and music – plus some other surprises and treats. Guests will be able to preview the exciting and groundbreaking gallery exhibit, Ephemera: The Power of Impermanence, in a COVID-safe environment.

Celebrity Guest Host, Channel 5’s Zoraida Sambolin will be Mistress of Ceremonies

Emmy winning journalist, Weekday Edition co-anchor of NBC 5 News Today, former co-anchor of CNN’s national Early Start Program. This is her third year of generously donating her time and charm as celebrity guest host.
