Basic Camera Overview/Class Orientation, DSLR & Mirrorless Camera Operation, and the Principles of Correct Exposure
We are pleased to introduce our new partnership with Chicago Photography Class to bring new photography classes to TAC. The first class is a FREE Introduction to Photography so each attendee can both experience an introduction to the basics of photography plus see what else is going to be taught at TAC.
This free 90-minute workshop is designed to introduce people to proper exposure using their cameras. Both the technical and the artistic sides of photography are discussed in this introductory class. The class provides an introduction to the rest of the Chicago Photography Classes courses, at each level for photographers just beginning or already knowledgeable about the basics of photography.
No camera? No worries! The class includes a discussion of what to look for in a camera so you can make an informed decision.
If you have a new Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) or Mirrorless camera, need a refresher or have never attended a photography class, you should attend this free workshop.
In this class, we will discuss basic camera operation: an overview of your camera controls, use of your camera’s exposure meter, and how to record a properly exposed image.
Be sure to bring a camera, with a fully charged battery and a memory card, plus, your camera manual.
