Course Type: Workshop
Etching is a great way to transform your drawings & design into relief on the surface of metal. This two-day workshop will introduce students to the basic techniques for etching designs onto brass, copper, nickel, and sterling silver. Students will experiment with permanent markers & ink stamping pads, PnP paper, and a variety of other resists to create textures, patters, and images on metal. Etched plates can be sued to texture metal using the rolling mill. Students can take finished etchings and turn them into bracelets, earrings, or pendants. No experience required. All materials included.
