WHY should I choose The Art Center when there are so many other great organizations asking for my financial support?

Scholarships: Last year we awarded more than 50 scholarships to deserving students of all ages and skill levels. Our classes are open to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstance.
A Welcoming Space: We truly aim to be an art center for all. As part of our continuing effort to enrich the lives of all members of our community, this year we started a brand new program for young adults with mild to severe physical and mental disabilities.

Diversity and Inclusion: We strive for high-quality classes and exhibits with equity and equal representation for all. In particular, we believe in championing women artists and artists of color. Amplifying a variety of voices keeps our community engaged in broader cultural conversations.
Wellness and Healing: after the July 4th tragedy TAC stepped up with healing arts programs sponsored by our board of directors. We will continue to partner with the cities of Highland Park and Highwood to assist in the community healing process.

Inspiration and Education: Monthly Exchange events featuring accomplished arts and culture figures provide a variety of opportunities to inform, educate, and entertain. We are delighted whenever a student discovers a new art form, a new means of self-expression, and a new sense of self-confidence.
Community: In the past few years a great many students and teachers reported that our classes and community-building programs helped get them through the worst of the pandemic.
Please consider a generous donation to empower our dynamic programming for the 2022-23 year!
