This introductory class is for adults who want to gain confidence in their art skills by painting on canvas. Experimentation will be done with acrylic paint to better understand color, composition and technique.
Learn how to paint the human figure wearing clothes. Models will be posing for 2 to 3 weeks. This class will take on the challenges of drawing or painting the figure with clothing. All mediums are welcome, but it is important to bring a large pad of newsprint, charcoal, and/or good drawing pencils to do warm-up sketching. For those of you that have Photoshop Elements at home and would like to learn the basics, this is the class for you. We will be learning basic photo editing fundamentals with a concentration on ease – of – use.
If you want to change from a technical photography course, but like the motivation and support of a class, Professional Practices is for you. Class includes instructor presentation, review of historical and contemporary photographers, one-on-one guidance and group input on building your photography portfolio. Students should bring most recent work to 1st class.

Students will learn the basics of cartooning, create characters and use their imagination with pen and ink and mixed media.
This class is for beginning early teens ages 9-12. We will be exploring the world of ceramic arts. Working both on the pottery wheel as well as with many different hand-building techniques: coils, pinch, slab construction. The work will be both functional as well as sculptural. Letting the teens explore their creative side. All work will be food safe and ready to use. (Includes a $25 fee for clay, glazes, firing)

Class is for painters of all levels, from beginners to exhibiting artists. Instructor provides private, individualized instruction for painters in any medium (acrylic, oil, watercolor, etc.) Student receive personalized instruction to improve technique and explore creative ideas. In this multilevel class you will learn to create paintings by planning ahead, from preliminary drawings, to studies, to a finished piece. Start with small sketches and advance to small paintings. Choose your medium and level of instruction.
For students with previous painting or drawing experience, to further investigate traditional skills such as brushwork, color theory, composition, glazing; and non-traditional techniques, such as mixed media and photo transfers.
