Spring 2017| 2 wks, April 28 & May 5 Meets Friday Morning 9:30am-12:00pm Course Type: Workshop
Explore an expressive approach to Printmaking in this Monotype class. You will paint and draw an image onto a plastic plate with printing inks, and transfer it onto paper using a press. This creates a one-of-a-kind printed image. This amazingly simple technique makes it easy to achieve wonderful marks, textures and layers of color. Discover new directions in your work by working spontaneously to create a series of images in a friendly studio environment. We will cover additive and subtractive methods, stencils, use of black and white and color inks, and photographic transfers. All levels welcome.
