TAC’s Film camp is perfect for teens with an interest in film making. Students will write, shoot, direct and star in their own film. Camp is designed for people with little or no experience. The focus is on fundamental elements of visual storytelling that enable students to create a finished film. They will learn casting, wardrobe, lighting, camera operating and more from an award-winning Chicago Film team. Two weeks of camp goes by quickly in this accelerated program. Professional video cameras and Mac iMovie will be utilized. Students will select a genre they prefer from horror to comedy to documentary. Filming will take place near The Art Center and may include a few evening sessions if necessary. At the end of camp the students’ short film will be celebrated in a “Night at the Movies” film screening at TAC open to students, family and friends to share what TAC’s Film Campers created.
