Art is Alive in Highland Park!

Calling all artists! The Highland Park Cultural Arts Commission and The Art Center are jointly sponsoring the 5th annual “Art is Alive in Highland Park!” community art contest, to be judged on Saturday, December 6th at The Art Center – Highland Park, 1957 Sheridan Road.

To enter, bring a finished piece of artwork to The Art Center for judging on December 6th between 10:00am and 1:00pm. The contest is open to Highland Park residents and students attending Highland Park schools. A jury of arts professionals will select one winner and five finalists in each category. Winners and finalists will be announced in the Highlander, and selected art works displayed at The Art Center throughout the month of January. Prize ribbons will be awarded by Highland Park Mayor, Nancy Rotering during the opening reception on Friday, January 9th.

Open to all mediums except film / video. Submittals will be accepted only on Saturday, December 6th. Artists may submit one piece of artwork. All community members are encouraged to participate.
